Overview

QHRD211 is a long-acting recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) developed by Jiangsu Zhonghong Bioengineering Pharmaceutical Research Institute for the treatment of pediatric growth hormone deficiency (PGHD). The drug is a PEGylated formulation of somatropin, designed to extend the circulating half-life of the hormone and allow for once-weekly subcutaneous administration, compared to the daily injections required by conventional rhGH therapies. QHRD211 acts as an agonist at the growth hormone receptor (GHR), triggering the JAK2-STAT5 signaling pathway to stimulate the production of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), which promotes linear bone growth and metabolic regulation. It is currently in Phase 3 clinical development in China.
