QI-019B is an experimental *in vivo* chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) gene therapy designed to target both B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD19. Unlike conventional CAR-T therapies that require *ex vivo* genetic modification of a patient's harvested T cells, QI-019B is engineered to generate CAR-T cells directly within the patient's body following administration. This approach aims to simplify the manufacturing process and reduce the time to treatment. The therapy is being developed by the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. By dual-targeting BCMA and CD19, QI-019B seeks to enhance anti-tumor efficacy and mitigate potential antigen escape mechanisms common in single-target therapies.
