Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qi-Ji Shen-Kang + Zhu-Bai + Yu-Shen is a combination of three Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulas used for the treatment of Henoch-Schönlein purpura nephritis (HSPN) in children. The combination is being evaluated in clinical trials led by the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Each formula contains a distinct set of botanical ingredients: Qi-Ji Shen-Kang includes field thistle, common edelweiss, and spreading hedyotis; Zhu-Bai includes glabrous greenbrier and amur corktree bark; and Yu-Shen includes membranous milkvetch and heterophylla falsestarwort. These formulas are designed to work synergistically to address the underlying TCM patterns of heat, toxins, and blood stasis associated with pediatric renal complications following Henoch-Schönlein purpura.
