Overview
Qi-Zheng-Xiao-Tong Plaster is a traditional Tibetan medicated plaster developed and manufactured by Tibet Qizheng Tibetan Medicine. It is primarily composed of *Lamiophlomis rotata* and *Curcuma longa* (turmeric) within a hydrophilic adhesive vehicle. The plaster is indicated for the treatment of chronic pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions, specifically knee osteoarthritis. In clinical research, it is often used as a positive control comparator for other traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical treatments. Its mechanism involves the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of its herbal constituents, which are delivered transdermally to the affected joint. The drug has received approval from the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) in China.
