Qiangji Jianli

Qiangji Jianli is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, primarily for the treatment of myasthenia gravis (MG). Based on the TCM principle of invigorating the spleen and replenishing Qi, the formula aims to modulate the immune system. Clinical studies suggest it works by regulating the balance of T-cell subsets, particularly by increasing the proportion of regulatory T cells (Tregs) and modulating the Th17/Treg ratio, thereby suppressing the autoimmune response against acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction. It is typically administered as a capsule and is based on the clinical experience of the renowned TCM physician Professor Deng Tietao.
