Overview
Qiangqin is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., primarily indicated for the treatment of influenza and upper respiratory tract infections characterized by wind-heat symptoms. The formulation is a multi-herb granule that typically includes extracts from *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Baical Skullcap) and *Notopterygium incisum* (Qianghuo). It functions through a combination of antiviral, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory activities. Qiangqin is used to alleviate symptoms such as fever, headache, sore throat, and cough by inhibiting viral replication and modulating the host's inflammatory response. It is approved and marketed in China for the treatment of viral influenza.
