Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qianliebeixi is a multi-ingredient nutraceutical formulation primarily used in China for the management of prostate health, specifically chronic prostatitis (CP). Developed and manufactured by Zhejiang Conba Pharmaceutical, the capsule contains a combination of lycopene, cranberry extract, and zinc gluconate. Lycopene acts as a potent antioxidant to reduce oxidative stress in prostate tissue. Cranberry extract provides proanthocyanidins that inhibit bacterial adhesion to the urinary tract lining, while zinc is a critical micronutrient for maintaining the antibacterial properties of prostatic fluid and supporting immune function. Clinical research, including trials led by Shanghai Changhai Hospital, has evaluated its efficacy both as a monotherapy and in combination with alpha-adrenoceptor antagonists like tamsulosin for relieving symptoms of chronic prostatitis.
