Qianliebeixi capsule is a Chinese Patent Medicine (CPM) primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic prostatitis and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is a multi-ingredient herbal formulation composed of several traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, including *Lycopus lucidus*, *Vaccaria segetalis*, and *Astragalus membranaceus*. The drug is designed to alleviate symptoms such as pelvic pain, urinary frequency, and urgency by exerting anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Mechanistically, it works by improving local microcirculation in the prostate, reducing tissue edema, and modulating the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the prostatic fluid. In clinical practice, it is often evaluated as a monotherapy or in combination with alpha-blockers like tamsulosin for National Institutes of Health (NIH) category III chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS).
