Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qianliekang (前列康片) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation primarily used to support prostate and urinary health. It is commonly indicated for chronic prostatitis and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), as well as symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency of urination, dribbling urine, lower back and knee soreness associated with kidney deficiency in TCM theory. The main active ingredient is rape pollen (canola flower pollen), often combined with other herbs such as Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex (Huang Bai), Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chi Shao), Persicae Semen (Tao Ren), Lycopi Herba (Ze Lan), Linderae Radix (Wu Yao), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma (Dan Shen), Vaccariae Semen (Wang Bu Liu Xing), and Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Bai Zhi)[2][3]. Clinical studies suggest that Qianliekang may improve immune function and reduce inflammatory factors in patients with chronic prostatitis[5]. Its mechanism of action involves anti-inflammatory effects and modulation of immune response rather than direct pharmacological targeting of specific molecular pathways.
