Qianlieshutong is a Chinese patent medicine (CPM) developed by Shaanxi Buchang Pharmaceutical, primarily used for the treatment of chronic prostatitis and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is a multi-ingredient herbal formulation that includes extracts from *Phellodendron amurense*, *Smilax glabra*, *Coix lacryma-jobi*, and *Paeonia lactiflora*, among others. The therapeutic mechanism of Qianlieshutong involves anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-bacterial activities, as well as the promotion of local blood circulation to reduce prostate congestion. It is frequently used in clinical practice in China, often in combination with alpha-blockers like tamsulosin to improve lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and quality of life in patients with urological conditions.
