Qi Gong Wan (QGW) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula primarily investigated for its therapeutic potential in treating infertility associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). As a multi-component preparation, it is composed of several herbal ingredients including Pinellia ternata, Arisaema erubescens, and Cyperus rotundus, among others. Research utilizing network pharmacology and PCOS rat models indicates that QGW improves endometrial receptivity by modulating key molecular targets such as Homeobox A10 (HOXA10), Homeobox A11 (HOXA11), and Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1 (IGFBP1). It also appears to influence inflammatory markers like C-reactive protein (CRP) and Myeloperoxidase (MPO). The formula is typically administered orally and is studied in academic and preclinical settings rather than being a proprietary product of a single pharmaceutical company.
