Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qihuang Zhengqi (also known as Qihuang Zhengqi Granules) is an innovative Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Class 1.1 drug developed by Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical in collaboration with Shanghai Tufeng Pharmaceutical Technology and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Formulated under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine theory, it is designed to benefit qi, nourish blood, and support vital qi (fu zheng bu xu). Qihuang Zhengqi is primarily being developed for the treatment of cancer-related fatigue (CRF) with qi and blood deficiency syndrome. In preclinical studies, it demonstrated significant therapeutic effects by enhancing physical endurance, inhibiting lactic acid accumulation and glycogen depletion, and improving survival in tumor cachexia and chemotherapy-induced fatigue models. In July 2026, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China approved the initiation of clinical trials for Qihuang Zhengqi Granules.
