Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qijing Jiedu decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is currently under clinical investigation for the management of fatigue associated with post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (Long Covid). The decoction is administered orally and is designed to address underlying TCM patterns of deficiency and residual toxicity that persist following a viral infection. In clinical evaluation, the formula is intended to improve physical stamina, peak cardiopulmonary oxygen uptake, and overall quality of life in adults recovering from COVID-19. A Phase 0 interventional study (ChiCTR2400081407) is evaluating its efficacy compared to non-treated Long Covid fatigue, Covid-recovered, and healthy control cohorts.
