It is composed of herbal ingredients, including *Gynostemma pentaphyllum* (Jiaogulan). Research indicates that QLJP can alleviate pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary arteriole remodeling in broilers exposed to low temperatures. Its mechanism of action involves the inhibition of the TGF-β1/Smad2 signaling pathway, leading to the downregulation of pro-fibrotic markers such as alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), collagen type I alpha 1 (COL1A1), and matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP2). By suppressing these pathways, QLJP helps maintain lung tissue integrity and prevents the development of pulmonary arterial hypertension in avian models.
