Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qiling Wenshen Xiaonang Fang (芪苓温肾消囊方) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula composed of five herbal ingredients: Astragalus membranaceus (黄芪), Epimedium brevicornum (淫羊藿), Poria cocos (茯苓), Atractylodes macrocephala (苍术), and Salvia miltiorrhiza (丹参). The formula is designed to tonify Qi and spleen, warm kidney yang, resolve phlegm-dampness, and promote blood circulation. It is primarily developed for the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) with TCM syndromes of spleen-kidney yang deficiency and phlegm-dampness obstruction. Mechanistic studies suggest it may improve insulin resistance and regulate reproductive endocrine function through multi-target actions including anti-inflammatory effects and modulation of metabolic pathways[2][4][7].
