Overview
Qilu Buxue Granule (芪鹿补血颗粒) is a traditional Chinese medicine preparation used as an adjunctive treatment for leukopenia (low white blood cell count) resulting from chemotherapy or radiotherapy in cancer patients. Formulated as granules for oral administration, it is indicated for conditions described in TCM as spleen and kidney deficiency with qi and blood weakness, manifesting as fatigue, pallor, dizziness, and weakness in the lower back and knees. [2, 4] The preparation contains multiple active ingredients from traditional herbs, including Astragali Radix (Huangqi), Spatholobi Caulis (Jixueteng), Ligustri Lucidi Fructus (Nuzhenzi), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Psoraleae Fructus (Buguzhi), Lycii Fructus (Gouqizi), and Cornu Cervi Colla (Lujiaojiao). [1, 2] It is manufactured by Taiji Group Chongqing Chinese Medicine Factory No. 2 Co., Ltd. and has been evaluated in clinical trials for its efficacy and safety in preventing leukopenia in patients with lung adenocarcinoma undergoing chemotherapy. [3, 6]
