It is specifically designed for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and primary glomerulonephritis, with a focus on reducing proteinuria and slowing the progression of renal damage. The formula typically comprises several botanical ingredients, including *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi) and *Phragmites communis* (Lugen). QLXBF exerts its therapeutic effects by modulating the Transforming Growth Factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1)/Smad signaling pathway, which is a key driver of renal interstitial fibrosis. By inhibiting this pathway and protecting podocytes from apoptosis and injury, the formula helps maintain the integrity of the glomerular filtration barrier.
