Overview

"Qing-Hua-Bu" is a three-stage dynamic sequential external Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapy developed by Shanghai Yueyang Integrated Medicine Hospital for the treatment of diabetic ulcers. The therapy is based on the sequential application of different herbal formulations tailored to the wound's healing stage: "Qing" (clearing heat and dampness) for the inflammatory stage, "Hua" (activating blood and resolving stasis) for the proliferative stage, and "Bu" (tonifying deficiency and promoting granulation) for the remodeling stage. This approach follows the TCM principle of "Remove slough-Eliminate stasis-Generate granulation tissue." The therapy is administered topically and has been evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial (NCT03574935) to assess its efficacy and safety compared to standard Western external treatments.
