Qing Re Huo Xue (QRHX) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation used primarily for the treatment of inflammatory and vascular conditions. It is most commonly administered as a decoction (Qingre Huoxue decoction; QRHXD), but also exists in external preparation forms (QRHXEP). The formula typically contains multiple herbal ingredients such as Ligusticum wallichii, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Lignum acronychiae, Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius), Salvia miltiorrhiza (Danshen), Scutellaria baicalensis, and Ilex pubescens[7]. Its mechanism of action involves "clearing heat" and "promoting blood circulation," which translates to anti-inflammatory effects and improvement of microcirculation in biomedical terms.
