Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingbai lotion is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) topical formulation developed by Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is specifically designed for the treatment of scalp psoriasis and psoriasis vulgaris. The formulation is based on TCM principles of clearing heat and drying dampness, typically incorporating herbal extracts such as *Indigo naturalis* (Qing Dai) and *Phellodendron amurense* (Huang Bai). Mechanistically, the lotion aims to inhibit the excessive proliferation of keratinocytes and reduce local cutaneous inflammation, which are hallmark pathological features of psoriasis. It is evaluated in clinical settings to assess its efficacy in improving Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) scores and scalp-specific symptoms compared to standard topical therapies.
