Overview

Qingda Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) candidate developed by Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of hypertension, specifically targeting the "Liver-fire Flaming Up" syndrome. The formula is primarily composed of extracts from *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huangqin) and *Uncaria rhynchophylla* (Gouteng). It exerts its antihypertensive effects through multiple pathways, including the regulation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), protection of the vascular endothelium, and reduction of inflammatory cytokines. Clinical studies in China have investigated its potential to lower both systolic and diastolic blood pressure while maintaining a favorable safety profile. It is often utilized as a hospital preparation in Fujian province and has undergone Phase II clinical evaluation.
