Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingdu detoxification plaster is a traditional Yi medicine (an ethnic medicine of China) formulation developed by the Yunnan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is designed for external application to treat acute gouty arthritis, specifically targeting the dampness-heat obstruction syndrome. The plaster is composed of a mixture of herbal powders (Qingdu powder) and is used to reduce joint pain, swelling, and inflammation during acute gout flares. In clinical study contexts, it has been evaluated as an adjunctive therapy alongside conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like diclofenac.
