Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingfei Xiaoyan Wan is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Tianjin Zhongxin Pharmaceutical Group (Darentang Pharmaceutical Factory). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of respiratory conditions such as acute bronchitis and acute upper respiratory tract infections, specifically targeting the 'phlegm-heat obstructing the lungs' syndrome. The formulation is a multi-ingredient product that traditionally utilized antelope horn; however, recent clinical development has focused on a version utilizing goat horn (Caprae Hircus Cornu) as a sustainable substitute. The medicine is designed to clear heat, detoxify the lungs, resolve phlegm, and relieve cough and asthma. It is currently undergoing Phase III clinical evaluation in China to confirm its efficacy and safety in treating acute inflammatory conditions of the respiratory tract.
