Qingfei Zhisou plaster

Qingfei Zhisou plaster is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) topical preparation developed by Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. It is classified as a hospital-made preparation (医院制剂) in China and is primarily indicated for the treatment of pediatric pneumonia and bronchitis. The plaster is typically applied to specific acupoints on the chest or back, such as the Feishu (BL13) and Tiantu (CV22) points, as part of acupoint application therapy. Its therapeutic mechanism involves the transdermal absorption of herbal active ingredients to clear lung heat, resolve phlegm, and suppress cough. It is frequently used as an adjuvant therapy alongside conventional Western medicine to alleviate clinical symptoms like wheezing and rales, and to shorten the overall duration of respiratory infections in children.
