Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QGYS (Qinggan Yishen) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Minhang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of hypertension, specifically targeting the TCM patterns of Liver-yang hyperactivity and Kidney-yin deficiency. The formula is designed to lower blood pressure, stabilize blood pressure variability, and protect against hypertensive target organ damage. Pharmacological studies suggest that QGYS exerts its effects by modulating the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), improving vascular endothelial function through the regulation of nitric oxide and endothelin-1 levels, and reducing systemic inflammation and oxidative stress.
