Qinggong Shoutao Pills

Qinggong Shoutao Pills (Qinggong Shoutao Wan) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed and marketed by Daren Tang Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of Tianjin Pharmaceutical Da Ren Tang Group). Originally derived from the Qing Dynasty Medical Archives of Emperor Qianlong, it was included in China's third national nonmaterial cultural heritage list in 2011. The formulation is an anti-aging tonic containing a complex mixture of ingredients including *Panax ginseng*, *Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa*, *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Lycium barbarum*, *Asparagus cochinchinensis*, *Ophiopogon japonicus*, *Angelica sinensis*, and *Alpinia oxyphylla*. It is primarily used as a traditional health supplement for age-associated memory decline, fatigue, and symptoms of kidney deficiency in TCM theory, such as tinnitus and urinary incontinence. Research suggests the mechanism involves the cAMP signaling pathway, with core target proteins including AKT1 and glutamate receptors (GRIN1, GRIN2B). Clinical studies have indicated potential cognitive improvement in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment.
