Overview
Qinghua Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), specifically in patients presenting with the 'turbid phlegm and internal resistance' syndrome. The decoction aims to reduce the risk of coronary artery disease in these patients by modulating metabolic markers such as Retinol-Binding Protein 4 (RBP4), Cyclophilin A (CyPA), and Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1), thereby improving insulin resistance and lipid metabolism.
