Qinghua Xiaoyong Fang (清化消痈方) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula. It is used primarily for the treatment of perianal fistula in Crohn's disease patients with a TCM diagnosis of "dampness-heat diffusing downward." The formula is designed to clear heat, resolve toxicity, reduce swelling, and promote healing of abscesses and fistulas. Its mechanism involves anti-inflammatory effects, immune modulation, and possibly antibacterial actions typical of TCM formulas aimed at "clearing heat" and "resolving toxins." Clinical studies have evaluated its efficacy in reducing symptoms such as pain, discharge, and inflammation associated with perianal fistulas[8].
