Qingjin Huazhuo

Qingjin Huazhuo is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) decoction, also referred to as Qingjin Huazhuo Decoction or compound, developed for the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD), particularly in patients exhibiting a hypercoagulable state. The formula is typically administered orally and is often evaluated in combination with standard Western medical therapies and acupuncture. Clinical data, including retrospective analyses and registered trials (e.g., ChiCTR2200058928), indicate that the treatment significantly improves pulmonary function parameters such as FEV1 and FVC, enhances exercise capacity as measured by the 6-minute walk distance, and reduces systemic inflammatory markers including Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and C-reactive protein (CRP). It is primarily developed and studied by the Wangjing Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.
