Overview
Qingke Pingchuan Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by Jiangsu Shengze Hospital (Affiliated Shengze Hospital of Nanjing Medical University) for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the 'phlegm-heat obstructing lung' syndrome, a common TCM pattern in respiratory infections characterized by cough, fever, and dyspnea. The formulation is designed to clear pulmonary heat, resolve phlegm, and alleviate wheezing. Clinical observations suggest that the granule, when used as an adjunctive therapy, can reduce systemic inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein (CRP), Interleukin-6 (IL-6), and Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α), thereby improving clinical recovery rates and accelerating the resolution of pulmonary inflammation.
