Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingkepingchuan is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule formulation developed for the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the phlegm-heat and lung depletion syndrome, a diagnostic pattern in TCM characterized by airway inflammation and respiratory distress. The drug is designed to clear pulmonary heat, resolve phlegm, and alleviate wheezing (asthma). Developed by Zhang Zhijie and colleagues, it is typically evaluated in clinical settings as an adjunctive therapy to conventional Western medicine to improve clinical efficacy, enhance lung function, and reduce systemic inflammatory markers in COPD patients.
