Qingkui Yuyang Decoction

Qingkui Yuyang Decoction (QKY) is a traditional Chinese medicinal formula clinically utilized for the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC). It is a multi-component herbal preparation that has been shown to alleviate intestinal inflammation and mucosal injury. Research using serum pharmacochemistry and network pharmacology has identified several blood-absorbed active components, including loureirin A, berberine, and ellagic acid. The therapeutic mechanism of QKY involves the modulation of the MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways. Specifically, it downregulates the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6), and reduces the phosphorylation of core targets including RELA (p65), AKT1, and p38 MAPK.
