Overview

Qinglisan (also known as Qinglisan granules or 清利散) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula developed by Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University. It is formulated as oral granules and is composed of six herbal and mineral ingredients: Cercis chinensis bark (紫荆皮), Forsythia suspensa fruit (连翘), Akebia trifoliata var. australis stem (白木通), Talcum (滑石), Plantago asiatica seed (车前子), and Glycyrrhiza uralensis root (甘草). Qinglisan is primarily used in combination with Jietongyin lotion (洁童阴洗液) as an alternative to oral antibiotics (such as amoxicillin) for the treatment of pediatric bacterial vulvovaginitis in girls. The formula works by clearing heat, resolving dampness, promoting diuresis, and relieving toxicity.
