Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingre Huayu Formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal preparation developed by Shuguang Hospital of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) who present with the Heat and Phlegm-Blood Stasis syndrome according to TCM diagnostic criteria. The formula is typically administered as an adjunctive therapy alongside conventional Western medical interventions, such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and standard post-infarction pharmacotherapy. Its primary clinical objective is to inhibit left ventricular remodeling, improve clinical symptoms, and enhance cardiac function following a myocardial infarction. The therapeutic rationale is based on the TCM principles of clearing heat (anti-inflammatory) and resolving blood stasis (improving microcirculation and reducing thrombosis).
