Qingre Huayu Jianpi formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC) and the prevention of colitis-associated colon cancer (CAC). The formula is designed based on the TCM principles of clearing heat (Qingre), resolving blood stasis (Huayu), and strengthening the spleen (Jianpi). Mechanistically, it is studied for its ability to modulate the fibroblast-organoid niche, thereby influencing the intestinal microenvironment to suppress chronic inflammation and inhibit the malignant transformation of colonic epithelial cells.
