Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingre Lidan Granule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation used primarily for the prevention and treatment of hepatobiliary diseases, especially choledocholithiasis (common bile duct stones). The formula is designed to "clear heat" and promote bile flow according to TCM principles. Its mechanism involves promoting qi circulation, removing obstruction in the collaterals, enhancing blood circulation to resolve stasis, smoothing liver function, increasing choleresis (bile secretion), detoxification, and relaxing the bowels. Commonly reported ingredients include Oyster Shell (Concha Ostreae), Wenyujin Rhizome (Rhizoma Wenyujin Concisum), Honeysuckle Flower (Physalis alkekengi var. franchetii), Chinese Thorowax Root (Radix Bupleuri), Rhubarb Root and Rhizome (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Corydalis Rhizome, Tree Peony Bark (Cortex Moutan), and Red Peony Root (Radix Paeoniae Rubra)[3]. Clinical studies suggest it can reduce recurrence rates of choledocholithiasis after surgery[1][6]. It is not approved by major Western regulatory agencies such as the FDA.
