Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingre Lishi Huoxue Prescription (QRLSHXP) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation composed of four specific herbs: Sanye Danshen, Jiuguanxue, Shanchagen, and Huaxuedan. Developed by researchers at the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine and Peking University Third Hospital, it is being investigated for its anti-tumor efficacy in esophageal carcinoma. The prescription inhibits cancer cell proliferation and induces pyroptosis, a form of programmed cell death, through the activation of the Caspase-3/GSDME signaling pathway. This process results in increased DNA damage, compromised membrane integrity, and the secretion of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-18.
