Qingrehuatan granule

Qingrehuatan granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by Henan University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the TCM syndrome classification of 'phlegm-heat congesting the lung.' Formulated as oral granules, it is typically used as an adjunctive therapy alongside conventional Western medicine. The drug's mechanism involves the modulation of multiple inflammatory pathways; clinical studies have demonstrated its ability to reduce levels of pro-inflammatory markers such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF), interleukin-8 (IL-8), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), and endothelin-1 (ET-1), while simultaneously increasing levels of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP).
