Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingshen Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and chronic renal failure, particularly in patients presenting with Damp-heat syndrome. The granules are designed to clear heat, resolve dampness, and protect renal function. Clinical research suggests that Qingshen Granules may exert therapeutic effects by modulating pathways involved in renal fibrosis and inflammation, including the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, and by affecting levels of E-cadherin, MCP-1, and collagen types I and III. It is often used as an adjunctive therapy alongside standard Western medical treatments and other TCM interventions like enemas.
