Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingshen Tiaozhi Xiaoke Tablets (轻身调脂消渴片) is a 1.1-class innovative traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed by Jiangsu Jiuxu Pharmaceutical Group. It is an oral tablet formulation based on the classical TCM formula Xiao Xian Xiong Tang (小陷胸汤) from the *Shang Han Lun*. The drug is indicated for the treatment of metabolic syndrome and its associated conditions, including type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension, specifically targeting the phlegm-heat syndrome (痰热互结证) in TCM theory. Its pharmacological actions include lowering blood glucose, blood pressure, and blood lipids, as well as improving insulin resistance. In January 2026, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) accepted its Investigational New Drug (IND) application (trial number CXZL2600001), marking its entry into clinical development.
