Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingshu Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound developed by Tianjin Tasly Pharmaceutical for the treatment of primary acute gouty arthritis. The formulation is designed based on TCM principles to clear heat, resolve dampness, and alleviate pain, specifically targeting the 'damp-heat pouring downward' syndrome often associated with gout flares. Clinically, the drug aims to reduce serum uric acid levels and suppress the inflammatory response triggered by the deposition of monosodium urate crystals in the joints. It has been evaluated in Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials in China, demonstrating efficacy in reducing joint swelling, pain, and functional impairment compared to standard-of-care treatments.
