Qingxin Jiaotai Decoction (QXJTD) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed for the treatment of comorbid insomnia and obesity, specifically targeting patients diagnosed with the Heart-Kidney Non-interaction syndrome. The decoction is a complex multi-herb formulation comprising 11 ingredients: Fructus Tritici Levis, Herba Lophatheri, Herba Menthae, Semen Nelumbinis, Bulbus Lilii, Concha Ostreae, Colla Corii Asini, Fructus Amomi, Poria cum Pini Radice, Cortex Cinnamomi, and Semen Ziziphi Spinosae. It is custom-prepared as granules for oral administration. Developed by Fohow Pharmaceutical Group, QXJTD is being evaluated in clinical trials to assess its efficacy in improving objective sleep parameters (via polysomnography) and promoting weight loss when combined with personalized lifestyle interventions.
