Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingxuan Decoction (also known as Qingxian Yin) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of oral lichen planus (OLP), specifically the dryness pathogen type. The decoction is designed to modulate the immune environment of the oral mucosa by balancing Th1 and Th2 cytokines (such as IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-4, and IL-10) and regulating the levels of CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes. Clinical research utilizing metabolomics has also indicated that the formula influences endogenous metabolites in blood and urine, suggesting a multi-target mechanism of action involving anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory pathways.
