Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingxuan Runmu Yin (QRY) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula primarily utilized for the treatment of Dry Eye Disease (DED). It is composed of multiple botanical ingredients that work synergistically to provide anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative stress effects on the ocular surface. According to transcriptomic and network pharmacology studies, QRY modulates several key biological targets, including TNF, IL-6, and PTGS2, thereby reducing inflammation and oxidative damage in the lacrimal functional unit. Clinical evidence suggests that QRY effectively improves tear film stability, increases tear secretion, and alleviates the symptoms of ocular dryness and irritation. It is typically administered as an oral decoction and is designed to address the underlying pathophysiology of ocular surface disorders through a multi-target approach.
