Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qingyi Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily used for the treatment of acute pancreatitis and its associated complications, such as acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Derived from the classic "Qingyi Tang" decoction, the formulation typically includes a combination of herbs such as *Rheum palmatum* (Dahuang), *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huangqin), *Paeonia lactiflora* (Baishao), and *Magnolia officinalis* (Houpo). Its therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to modulate the systemic inflammatory response by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines (e.g., TNF-α, IL-6), protecting the intestinal mucosal barrier, improving pancreatic microcirculation, and inhibiting the excessive activation of pancreatic enzymes. It is frequently employed in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine protocols in China.
