Overview
Qingyi Jiangzhi is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) decoction developed by The First People’s Hospital of Lianyungang specifically for the treatment of hyperlipidemic acute pancreatitis (HLAP). The formula is designed to address the dual challenges of pancreatic inflammation and severe hypertriglyceridemia. Its mechanism of action involves a multi-target approach: it promotes gastrointestinal motility and purgation to accelerate the clearance of endotoxins and lipids, inhibits the systemic inflammatory response by reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha and IL-6, and assists in the rapid reduction of serum triglyceride levels. Clinical research conducted at the developing institution suggests that the decoction, often used as an adjuvant to standard Western medical treatments, can significantly shorten the time to abdominal pain relief and improve overall clinical recovery rates in patients with HLAP.
