Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qinlian Jiangxia decoction (QLJXD) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula primarily investigated for its therapeutic potential in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) complicated by hyperlipidemia. The decoction is a multi-component mixture typically containing botanical ingredients such as *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huangqin) and *Coptis chinensis* (Huanglian). Research utilizing network pharmacology, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulations suggests that QLJXD exerts its effects through a multi-target approach, primarily modulating the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway to improve glucose and lipid metabolism. It is also thought to regulate inflammatory cytokines and improve insulin sensitivity, thereby addressing the metabolic dysregulation characteristic of comorbid diabetes and dyslipidemia.
