Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qinshen mouthwash is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)-based oral solution developed by the West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of recurrent aphthous ulcers (RAU), a common inflammatory condition of the oral mucosa characterized by painful, recurring sores. The formulation is designed to alleviate ulcer-related pain and accelerate the healing process, likely leveraging the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of its herbal constituents. As of early 2025, the drug is being evaluated in a Phase 1 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial to establish its safety and therapeutic efficacy in adult patients.
