Overview
Qinteng Huoxue Runji is a topical traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) ointment developed as part of the "Qinteng Huoxue prescription series" by Professor Sun Liyun. It is formulated using a chitosan nanocrystalline drug delivery system to enhance skin penetration and therapeutic efficacy. The ointment is designed for the treatment of psoriasis with blood stasis syndrome, a TCM diagnostic subtype of psoriasis. Its mechanism involves promoting blood circulation and alleviating symptoms associated with blood stasis in the context of TCM theory. The product has been observed to be effective in clinical practice for psoriasis but is currently being evaluated in multicenter, randomized controlled clinical trials for efficacy and safety[1][2][3][6][8].
