Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qinzhi zhudan decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed for the treatment of mild-to-moderate vascular dementia, particularly in patients presenting with the "phlegm heat stasis" syndrome. The decoction is a multi-herb preparation intended to clear heat, resolve phlegm, and remove blood stasis, thereby addressing the underlying TCM pathology associated with cognitive decline following cerebrovascular disease. Clinical evaluation has focused on its efficacy in improving cognitive function (measured by MMSE and MoCA scores) and activities of daily living.
